Writing & notes
What it does
As you write, Reor surfaces older notes that are semantically related, so material you wrote months ago comes back without you having linked or tagged it, and you can ask questions across the whole set. The editor is Obsidian-like Markdown and everything - notes and processing - stays on your machine unless you deliberately point it at a cloud model. Indexing takes longer as the vault grows.

Reor FAQ
- Is Reor free?
- Yes. It runs on your own machine, so there is no usage-based cost either.
- Do I need to install anything or write code to use Reor?
- You install it like a normal desktop app. No command line involved.
- Does Reor work on a phone?
- No. It needs a computer.
- Can I use Reor commercially?
- The licence is AGPL-3.0. Using it commercially is fine, but if you distribute something built on it you may be required to release that under the same licence. Keep it internal, or check before distributing.
- Is Reor still maintained?
- No. The project is archived on GitHub, so there will be no further features or bug fixes. It may work today, but nothing will be repaired when it breaks.
