What it does
Plays the same sentence through two text-to-speech systems without telling you which is which, so you judge by ear rather than by reputation, and aggregates the votes into a public ranking of which engines currently sound best. Evaluation is dominated by English, so a high-ranking system is not necessarily good at Japanese - test with your own Japanese text before deciding.
