Siftly
Turns a hoard of X bookmarks into something searchable

What it does
Imports your Twitter/X bookmarks and runs a multi-stage AI pipeline over them — analyse, categorise, index — producing a searchable, browsable knowledge base instead of an unread pile. Self-hosted: nothing leaves your machine except the model calls you configure. Bookmark contents do go to that model, and the data stays subject to X's terms, so this is for organising your own reading rather than republishing anyone's posts. MIT.

Siftly FAQ
- Is Siftly free?
- Siftly itself is free, but it needs an API key for an external AI service. That service charges separately, though some have a free tier.
- Do I need to install anything or write code to use Siftly?
- It needs the command line. If you are not comfortable typing commands, expect to get stuck during setup.
- Does Siftly work on a phone?
- No. It needs a computer.
- Can I use Siftly commercially?
- The licence is MIT, which permits commercial use. Conditions such as keeping the copyright notice still apply, so read the licence text before shipping it inside something.
