What it does
Covers the whole subtitling job: cue timing against a waveform timeline, SMPTE and media modes, dozens of formats, translation memory, spell check, subtitle comparison, frame-rate conversion and validation against industry profiles. Automatic transcription and machine translation are included as drafting aids rather than the main event. Multi-level undo, auto-backup and a multi-language interface; runs on Windows, macOS and Linux under MPL-2.0.
